Days turn into weeks and weeks into months and you look down and there are two little people staring up at you doing things you never really imagined they would do…it’s just amazing how the kiddos are growing by leaps and bounds each day. Thank goodness Sean and I are both a little over the top with the “documenting their every move” process. Looking back at videos and pictures is just the most incredible way to see such progress.
Bauer just seems more like a little boy rather than my baby boy each day. Today he just was watching tv and rocking away on the Rocking Moose without a care in the world. I didn’t get to help him get on or off, its just another thing he does now!
Yesterday, Sean allowed Bauer the fun of washing his hands in the sink like his big sister. She uses the step stool to reach and he uses the “super” step stool (or neighboring sink)…they are actually starting to learn to share. Don’t tell anyone…they think its still a secret from mom and dad that they actually do like each other.
Tonight, while Sean and I had some two on one time with Bauer, he pulled an old Murphy trick out of his book and sat in the little activity play desk that we have in the playroom.
We’ve seen this move before…about 18 months ago! It really is one of my favorite things to see Bauer follow in Bree’s footsteps. He’s was such a different baby, but more and more the same as he gets older. That truly frightens me and delights me at the same time.
We also have some great videos to share that really show how old Ms. Bree is getting…her words are becoming so clear and she remembers everything.
Today, I picked her up from school and one of her teachers says, “We need to know how much of what Bree says is true.” That’s a phrase that can make you nervous. I immediately scanned my most recent memories of conversations Sean and I have had…
The teacher went on to say that after they read a Halloween book in class, Bree announced that she would be a football player, Bauer would be a baseball player, Daddy would be a hockey player and Mommy would be a basketball player for Halloween. She was the only one in her class that answered when the teachers asked the kids what they would dress up as. It was so clear and to the point that her teachers knew it had to be true but were still amazed. Now I can’t promise that Sean and I will be dressed up, but she has deemed us in our roles, so we will see. Oh Bree, what a fun future we have ahead of us with you.
Two of the videos below are of Bree singing and the last is of her learning a new word to say so she doesn’t surprise people so much when she takes a flying leap into their arms. Enjoy!
Bree: "Born January 29, 2007. I love to jump, dance, sing, play the harmonica, swing, look at airplanes, slide and memorize everything I hear and see, especially in my books. My favorite foods are fish sticks, bagel bites and chicken nuggets."
Bauer: "Born July 29th, 2008. "Yes, I'm exactly 18 months younger than my sister and will truly enjoy the half birthday gifts this brings Bree and I through the years. I'm so much fun and I love to pull hair. Bree doesn't know what's coming her way."

Love the videos! Bree’s singing is AWESOME! Oh, and Luke has the same outfit as Bauer in the last video — so fun!
